TFC Play Soccer at
Ontario Place
Celebrate the game of soccer at Ontario Place, with an inflatable road show for youth and families, that includes interactive soccer activities. Runs until Sept. 11 at Ontario Place, 955 Lakeshore Blvd.W. For more information call 416-314-9900.
The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers
Benefiting The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, the charity walk/run takes place at various locations in Toronto and the GTA. Participants can walk a one-day 30km course, or walk 60km over two days. Saturday Sept. 11 to Sunday Sept. 12. For more information call 416-815-9255.
Tri Kids Triathlon Series
Children ages three to 15 to participate in a non-competitive, self-esteem boosting sports event. Participants complete portions of the course with swimming, biking and running, while helping to raise finds for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. Ontario Universities
Fair 2010
Parents and Ontario high school students are invited to meet with representatives from all 21 universities in Ontario. They can learn about programs, campus life and anything else to help them make a decision about which school to attend. This free admission event takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Sept. 24 – Sept. 26. For more information call 416-585-8000.
Toronto Waterfront Marathon
On Sunday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 a.m., runners take off for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, which includes the marathon, half-marathon and 5 km run. Power walkers and slower runners can also participate in the event, because of the six hour and 30 minute time limit. The event starts and finishes downtown at City Hall.
